My family and I are deeply grateful for the care provided to my mother during her final days. The staff showed compassion and professionalism during an incredibly difficult time, and there were several CNAs including Nate and Megan who went above and beyond in making her feel cared for and respected. Their kindness did not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate the dignity they helped preserve for her. That said, I would like to offer a small piece of feedback in the hope that it may help future patients and families. Toward the end of her stay, there were times when comfort measures did not feel as readily accessible as they could have been. In such critical moments, timely attention to comfort can make a meaningful difference in a patient’s experience. I share this with respect and appreciation for the work being done, and with the hope that continued attention to comfort care will further strengthen the already compassionate environment you provide.

My mother-in-law spent the last three months of her life at Homestead. She was kept clean, loved, and given excellent care. The facility is very clean, with no smell,

My brother has been in their care for 9months & I’ve been very pleased with his care. They constantly confirm any issues that he has to let me know what action is being taken. If anyone else has a comment about their love ones I would love to hear about it.

My mom went in for rehab. This place is sad. They serve THE same thing EVERY DAY for breakfast. They left my mom in the bathroom for 15-20 minutes. The pull cord did not work and she even had a bell to use and they claimed they could not hear it. She finally had to yell to get someone to come and help her. She has been ignored before for other reasons as well. They finally told me that my mom was going to her assisted living place after I learned about it from my mom and that was 3 days later. The case worker even asked me if I could transport her to her assisted living place. I told him No. They have their own vans to do that on the premises to do that. LAZY and unprofessional. She did get transportation. I am really NOT impressed with it.

My mom fell out of bed last month on a Sunday. She complained the her leg hurt. Homestead didn’t take her to the hospital until a Tuesday. When she arrived at the hospital she was dehydrated, had low blood count , needed blood transfusion, and she had broken her left femur. Sadly, mom passed after surgery to repair the broken femur. She died of a heart attack.

Wouldn’t recommend to place to anyone. You call to check on a loved one and the phone at the nurses desk just rings and rings. My mom was there for only three and a half days and no one would let me know how she was doing. She’s in the hospital with Covid and no one from the facility called to let me know she had been taken to the hospital. Bad business

Friend of mine was there. They lost her medication on more than one occasion. Lost her appeal paperwork.Released her unable to walk, feed herself, and only use of one arm. She also has Parkinson’s .Also said she would have homecare, and in home and in home physical therapy, no instructions of when or how this will start. The bare minimum care was provided.

Thank you for the opportunity to connect with you over phone. We were having issues with our phones that morning, which have since been repaired. Hopefully you can understand that we were not able to release patient information due to HIPAA law compliance. Hope you have a great rest of your day.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My father moved into Homestead Post Acute. They’re so understaffed. He has a nice room. It’s got a huge bathroom. I mean, it’s really nice. It’s a lot nicer than the other one that my friend was in actually. The room, as far as it was, I’m surprised that it was this big. He does have a roommate. So the first couple of days there — he’s 85, so he’s really old fashioned — the roommate that they had put him with, didn’t want to keep his clothes on for whatever reason, and that really bothered my dad with me coming in and out of there. We would pull the curtain and the guy would push the curtain back. Dad mentioned it to the staff. So then they moved Dad’s roommate. It’s like they were trying to team up with someone that’s more compatible or whatever. I really liked that they did that as well. The food looks good to me. He says, “Some of that stuff I don’t want.” He’s going to have to try new things. But the meals look good and then they have snacks throughout the day. He said they either put it down on the table like in a TV room, or they’ll come in and ask him if he’s in his room.

The staff is very nice but underpaid and understaffed. This place is designed to cash government checks on your behalf and provide the bare minimum required to keep themselves out of court. If you can avoid it, do not let these people make money off of your loved one.

My mother in law was there a month this summer. It was not and continues to not be a good experience. She came home with EKG glue still on her from a month earlier. We have been trying to get her clothes for over a month…they lost most of them, not sure how. We had pictures of her clothes and receipts of new clothes. We were promised a check after providing estimates and receipts but still haven’t gotten a check or clothes. Very disappointing, wish we hadn’t let her go there.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident We admitted my Mom at Homestead in 2016. Everything was great until 2019 when a new Administrator took over. His name is Justin. From November 209-January 2020, Mom became sick with the Flu and Pneumonia twice. I went over to check on her at 1 AM because she was not answering her phone. That caused a stink evidently because Justin called me into the office over me coming to check on Mom at “late hours”. I asked the charge nurse to go and check on Mom when I arrived because I could not wake her up when I was in her room. She said, “ That is the job of the 7 AM nurse, not mine. “ And she walked away! Justin called me into his office and threatened to “Ban Me” from seeing Mom if I continued to come at “late hours”. You see, these people forget that we (Mom and her family) pay their salaries! They are on our payroll! The level of respect dwindled and we moved mom to another facility. Do not put your loved one at Homestead Nursing Home.

My husband came to Pine Meadows for rehab and was very curious on having any success. To our amazement the Rehab Department exceeded our expectations on my husband being able to return home. Thank you so much for a successful ending since my husband is going home. Also, everyone was so nice and friendly in all areas and always double checked to make sure he was comfortable or needed anything. The meals were well planned and he seldom left anything on his plate. Excellent service and would recommend to anyone in need of rehab.

Thanking Pine Meadows for the care they give to my mom who is blind, unable to stand nor walk and needs pureed food to eat. Mom unable to feed herself is fed by caring employees who may sometimes play her favorite tunes to get her smiling while she eats. I’m grateful for all the caring nurses,(who have recognized an on set of illnesses and have quickly administered the correct medication for her survival), nurses aides, nutritionist, administration, and all staff including the receptionists that help to make this facility a special place for mom.
